The owner of this Carlsbad home wanted to elevate their laundry room from a simple utility space into a warm, inviting, and beautifully organized part of their home. The vision called for high-quality custom cabinetry that provided ample storage, a large countertop for folding, and a sophisticated, organic-modern aesthetic. Our team was brought in to design, build, and install a full suite of custom Shaker cabinets, completely transforming the room’s functionality and style.

Functional Layout: A carefully planned mix of upper cabinets, base cabinets, and deep drawers, all custom-built to seamlessly integrate with the side-by-side washer and dryer.
Design Challenges & Solutions – Custom Cabinets in Carlsbad
Challenge: The primary goal was to create a laundry room that was not only hyper-functional but also felt intentionally designed and as stylish as any other living space. The challenge lay in balancing abundant closed storage with open, decorative elements and choosing materials that were both beautiful and robust enough for a high-traffic utility area. Solution: We designed a full wall of custom cabinetry to maximize every inch of storage and to provide a generous, uninterrupted folding surface with the beautiful walnut countertop. The choice of Shaker-style doors in a sophisticated olive green gives the room a touch of custom color and personality. By integrating matching walnut floating shelves, we added a warm, organic element that breaks up the cabinetry run and ties the entire design together. The result is a space that is truly a pleasure to be in.
