The goal was to transform this nook into a charming and highly functional feature that would add seating, storage, and bespoke architectural detail to their living room.

Design Challenges & Solutions – A Custom Nook in Escondido
Challenge: The primary objective was to maximize the utility and charm of an awkward corner, transforming it into an inviting and practical space for the whole family. The built-in needed to be crafted to the exact, non-standard dimensions of the corner for a perfect, gap-free fit and had to offer a smart mix of both open and closed storage.
Solution: We designed the L-shaped bench to follow the precise lines of the walls and windows, creating a truly integrated piece of furniture. The timeless Shaker-style doors provide a clean look that complements the nearby fireplace, while the open corner cubby adds a touch of visual interest and quick-access storage. By building this custom piece, we were able to convert a previously wasted corner into one of the most charming and useful spots in the entire living room.
