Project Overview – Custom Cabinets Carlsbad

This Carlsbad kitchen needed more usable storage and a cleaner look. We built custom Shaker cabinets, painted for a crisp finish, using maple as the substrate (our standard for painted work). The layout keeps the room open while adding practical drawer banks and full-height uppers.

At Reza Custom Cabinet, we design and build Custom Kitchen Cabinets that balance craftsmanship and everyday function across San Diego County.

Design Challenges & Solutions – Custom Cabinets in Carlsbad

Challenge: The original layout felt cramped, and storage was limited. Outdated storage & limited access → Added drawer banks and adjustable shelves for everyday reach.

Need for taller uppers without crowding the room → Installed full-height painted Shaker uppers to gain vertical capacity while keeping sightlines clean.

Finish consistency → Sprayed painted finish on maple components for a smooth, even surface that holds up to daily use.

This scope draws on our experience in kitchen remodeling and custom millwork.

Results – Painted Shaker Cabinets, Carlsbad

The kitchen now reads organized and bright: a unified painted Shaker look, better access with drawer storage, and durable hardware that feels solid day-to-day.
