In an age where the home office has become more essential than ever, the owner of this Escondido home wanted to create a space that was not just functional but also professional, elegant, and inspiring. They envisioned a true executive-style office within their own home, complete with a wrap-around desk and abundant integrated storage. Our team was commissioned to design, fabricate, and install a complete, floor-to-ceiling custom office suite crafted from rich, classic Cherry wood.

Material: Premium, solid Cherry wood and high-quality matching veneers, specifically chosen for its rich, warm, reddish tones and its distinguished, fine grain that conveys a sense of timeless elegance.

Functional Design: A massive, wrap-around L-shaped desk that provides an expansive and seamless work surface, perfectly integrated with two tall storage hutches, multiple file drawers, and open shelving for easy access.
Architectural Integration: The entire office suite was meticulously designed and custom-built to perfectly and symmetrically frame the room’s beautiful arched window, making it the undeniable focal point of the space.
Design Challenges & Solutions – A Bespoke Workspace
Challenge: The main challenge was to create a comprehensive, large-scale office built-in that felt grand and substantial, yet perfectly integrated and harmonious with the room’s existing architecture, especially the unique central arched window. The design needed to provide maximum desk space and storage functionality without overwhelming the room.
Solution: We designed the entire system to be perfectly symmetrical around the arched window, turning this charming architectural feature into the heart of the design. By building the desk and hutches as a single, cohesive unit, we created a truly seamless, built-in look that feels original to the home. The choice of classic Cherry wood with a rich stain adds a sense of permanence, warmth, and sophistication befitting a formal office. The result is a space that is not only highly productive but also a beautiful and inspiring place to spend the workday.
